What information SHE//BUILDS collects, why, who else sees it, and how to ask me to change or delete it.

1. What I collect
When you enquire or send a basket: your name, email, what you tell me about your project, your budget if you give one, and your country.
When you use the free plan tool: the idea you type and the plan it creates. The plan is saved in your browser, and in your account only if you choose to save it.
When you join the email list: your email address.
When you have an account: your name, email and sign-in details.
When you submit a founder story: your name, contact email, build name, optional public link, answers and permission to contact you. Submissions are private to editors. Your contact email is not published, and submitting does not subscribe you to the newsletter. We contact you about a possible feature and record your approval of the final story before publishing it.
When you pay: the payment provider tells me what was paid and by whom. I never receive your full card details.
Please don't put other people's private information, or anything confidential, into the plan tool or a form unless it's genuinely needed.
2. Why I use it
To reply to you, quote and deliver the work you ask for, send the emails you'd expect (like “I've got your message”), show you your projects, keep the site secure, keep financial records, and meet the law. I only email you about new tutorials if you joined the list, and you can leave at any time.
The legal bases are: doing what you've asked me to (a contract, or steps before one), my legitimate interest in running and securing the site, legal obligations, and your consent for the email list.
3. Who else sees it
Base44 hosts the site, the database, sign-in and emails. The AI models that write your free plan are reached through Base44. Payment providers such as Stripe or Wix Payments handle payments. Some of these providers process data outside the UK using recognised safeguards.
I never sell your information. If I'm building in your Base44 account, I only look at what I need for the project.
4. How long I keep it
Enquiries and founder story submissions that don't go ahead: up to 2 years, then deleted. Client and payment records: up to 6 years after the end of the financial year, for tax. Email list: until you leave. You can ask me to delete things sooner.
5. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your information, or ask me to stop using it. Email hi@shebuilds.online. I may need to check it's really you.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, but I'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
6. Security and children
I use sensible safeguards, but no website is completely secure. SHE//BUILDS is for adults and isn't aimed at anyone under 18.
