Build a side income around the life you already have
Choose a repeatable offer, set boundaries and test what fits.
A side income needs to fit alongside the work and responsibilities you already have. More enquiries are only useful if you can deliver what you sell.
Find a repeatable problem
Look for a job that similar customers need: an enquiry page, a booking request workflow, a simple client portal or a regular content update. Start with a result you know how to deliver, rather than advertising every possible AI service.
Start an AI service helps you choose an offer.
Make the scope repeatable too
Write a short checklist for each project: discovery, required information, build, test, revisions and handover. A fixed package should explain its limits. Extra pages, integrations or ongoing support need a separate agreement.
Base44 can help you build a prototype, but the job includes checking permissions, forms, mobile layouts and the customer’s actual workflow. Build that time into the price.
Protect your week
Set a maximum number of projects or support hours. Give customers a realistic response time. If you only work on certain days, say so before they buy.
Keep some time unallocated for delays, illness or family commitments. Your capacity should reflect a normal month rather than assuming every available hour can be sold.
Track what really happens
For each project record the price, expenses, total time, revision count and when payment arrives. After a few projects, look for tasks you can simplify or remove.
Recurring income also comes with recurring obligations. If you offer monthly maintenance, agree what it includes, how requests are handled, when payment is due and how either side can end it.
Test one offer before expanding
Your first experiment could be one paid project for one type of customer. Review it before adding packages, subscriptions or an agency model.
Use the income planner to compare your goal with your available time. Read Sales aren’t the same as profit before deciding how much of the payment is yours to spend.
